My love affair with dim sum began at the iconic Din Tai Fung at Taipei 101. I first visited while attending Computex and instantly fell in love with their famous Soup Dumplings—or as they call them, Xiao Long Bao. These meticulously crafted dumplings have even earned the restaurant a prestigious Michelin star in Taiwan, and after trying them, it’s easy to see why.

A Week of Culinary Bliss

During that week in Taipei, I found myself at Din Tai Fung nearly every day for lunch, determined to explore the entire menu. Their signature Truffle Xiao Long Bao was a standout, although, sadly, it’s only available in Taiwan.
