A Taste of Japan: Tsuta Japanese Soba Noodles, Central World Bangkok
Tsuta Japanese Soba Noodles, located on the 3rd floor of Central World in Bangkok, is a must-visit for ramen enthusiasts. Known as the first-ever noodle restaurant to receive a Michelin star (in Japan), Tsuta has expanded globally with various outposts, and this Bangkok location delivers on its stellar reputation.
The Meal
-
Signature Ramen
I opted for the signature ramen (sans extra truffles, which can sometimes overpower the dish), and it was a winner. The broth had a subtle hint of truffles, adding depth without being overwhelming. The noodles were perfectly cooked, with a delightful bite, and the egg was textbook perfect—runny in the middle and beautifully marinated. Easily the best ramen I’ve had in Bangkok so far. -
Fried Gyoza and BBQ Cubes
The gyoza were well-prepared with a crispy exterior and flavorful filling. The BBQ cubes were tender, juicy, and packed with flavor, making them a great accompaniment to the ramen. -
Green Tea Smoothie
The drink was refreshingly good, with a strong green tea flavor and just the right amount of sweetness—not overly sugary, which was a pleasant surprise.
Final Thoughts
Tsuta Japanese Soba Noodles at Central World lives up to its Michelin-starred legacy. The ramen, especially, is a standout and worth returning for—next time, I’ll be trying the ramen with crab! With a cozy ambiance and consistently excellent dishes, this is a spot I highly recommend for noodle lovers in Bangkok.
